MAHC Project – Move and Health Care

A few minutes of movement to support your working day

MAHC is a European project dedicated to hospital staff and healthcare professionals. Its goal is simple: to make movement more accessible in everyday working life, directly in the workplace.

In healthcare settings, working days are often intense. Depending on their role, professionals may face prolonged sitting, demanding postures, patient handling, repetitive movements, repeated walking, stress, fatigue, or simply a lack of time to take care of themselves.

To respond to these real-life working conditions, MAHC offers a digital platform accessible on computer, smartphone or tablet. It brings together short, simple videos adapted to the hospital and healthcare environment. Each capsule lasts less than 5 minutes and can be done with no equipment, no specific clothing and without sweating.

The content is designed for all staff profiles: care workers, administrative staff, technical teams and logistics staff. The videos help users gently wake up the body, release tension, mobilise areas such as the back, shoulders or neck, recover between tasks, or take a short mental decompression break.

The platform has been designed to fit easily into the working day: during a break, between two tasks, before starting a shift or at the end of the day. The aim is not to add another constraint, but to provide a simple, accessible and realistic tool to help everyone move a little more, at their own pace.

The project also includes an evaluation phase with pilot healthcare institutions. User feedback will help assess whether the videos are clear, useful, accessible and adapted to the real needs of professionals. These insights will be used to improve the content and develop the platform further.

Through MAHC, the ambition is to support the physical health, mental wellbeing and quality of working life of hospital and healthcare staff by offering a practical, short, free and easy-to-use solution for everyday work.
